Do I have to register just to come cheer my friends/family on?

Nope. If you are not participating in the 5k or 1 mile route and are just there for support, then you do not have to register.

Why do I have to register my 3 year old?

At every SIlly Sock event, we have a Kids Dash for children to participate in before the race starts.

Can I bring a stroller?

Of course! Keep in mind that the course is "all terrain" so there are hills, dirt, gravel, and possibly mud. We recommend a rugged stroller like a BOB or similar.

What is the course like?

Both the 5k and 1-mile route are on a mixture of grass, pavement, gravel, and dirt throughout the course. Be prepared with good shoes, water, and clothes that can get dirty. If it is wet the night before the race, then it could also be muddy. The Kids Dash is only on grass.

Will there be water?

Silly Socks does provide water throughout the race however it is recommended that you also bring your own. There are also drinking fountains at various locations in Kit Carson Park.

Will there be prizes?

Yes! We will be awarding prizes fo the following: Top 3 Overall (Male & Female)
Top 3 Teams
Top Individual Fundraiser + Team Fundraisers We will also have a raffle with tons of awesome opportunities to win cool stuff!

I don't live near Escondido but I want to participate, what should I do?

We're glad you asked! You can register as a Virtual Runner and spread the message of proper clubfoot treatment in your very own community! We'll even send you some cool Silly Socks swag when you register. Create your own local meetup with friends and family and join us on 10/19/19 from your hometown. Don't want to run? No problem! You can still make a donation by visiting our registration page.

What is Team Fundraising?

The Team Fundraising option is a great way to raise money for Clubfoot C.A.R.E.S. in support of your favorite Clubfoot Cutie. This option is available to anyone in the US, even if you aren't participating in the 5k locally or virtually. Head over to our registration page to create a team fundrasing page and when you do you will become your team's captain. After you complete the team registration option, you will automatcally be sent an email detailing all the information to create your own team fundraising page. With this page you can write about the person your are supporting, their clubfoot journey, and why you are participating in the 5k, etc. You even have the option to customize your fundrising page with pictures and videos. Once you have created your team fundraising page you can share it via email and social media with your friends, family, and community. People will have the option to donate to Clubfoot C.A.R.E.S. via your pages custom link. If you will also be participating in the 5k (locally or virtually) we will give you a discount code to give to your friends and family who want to sign up too! I want to participate in the 5k with a group, do I have to Team Fundraise?

Absolutely not!

I registered as a virtual runner, when will I receive my package?

All virtual participants orders will be shipped out in September. We will send you a confirmation email once they have shipped out. Thanks!
